Part of 1908 Fongers “garantieboek” with framenumber of my 1908 Fongers BB (27115), you can also see a few bicycles that went “export” ( Bandoeng).

Picture from the most expensive Fongers of 1907 (picture from the 1907 catalogue) of a Fongers BD 60. (BD = female, the same bicycle for man = BB)Only the Fongers “F” and “B” were more expensive (male and female crossframe types, they were 15 gulden more expensive, but I have never seen these bicycles, not even on a picture)

Picture of a Fongers BDG 60 from 1908 with Sturmey Archer 3-speed gear, also a very expensive bicycle in those times.

Picture of a 1910Fongers type “Groningen”, the cheapest Fongers in 1910, the bicycle on the picture is a litle more expensive version, this one has pull-brakes, the cheapest had NO (!) brakes.

Picture of a Fongers BB 60 from ~1914, in the archive they wrote “voor ( = before)1927″ on it, but the picture is made in 1914.

I inherited a 1932 Fongers bicycle that belonged to our opa, Hendrik Willem van Loon (writer, not the Amsterdam family), and am in need of brake pads before I kill myself on hills around this village. Can anyone help with my search?
Sorry, the Dutch language did not come with the name.

To Dirk
Thanks to join with this group and you so lucky to have an old bicycle.
In here ( Indonesia) the original fongers brake pads is rare, but sometimes you can find in the old bicycle shop.
Dirk..I need to know the model of your fongers bicycle, can you send the picture to my email laexs@yahoo.com , maybe I can help to find the pads.
If you want to know more about fongers bicycle you can ask anything to the master Mr. Andrekoopmans from Hollands andrekoopmans@yahoo.com
